MUSC Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the MUSC Community Physicians in Columbia, SC. The role involves interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording data in the medical record, while preparing treatment rooms for examinations.

Under supervision of a physician, you will support a decentralized, patient-centered approach. A high school diploma and accredited medical assisting training are required, with BLS certification also necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience preferred.
• Certification as CCMA or CMA or equivalent (AMT, AAMA, NHA, MedCA, or NAHP).
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsabilités

• Interview patients and measure vital signs.
• Record measurements into the medical record.
• Prepare examination rooms and assist clinicians under supervision.
• Maintain basic computer competency and documentation.
