Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care, including exam prep, basic lab work, and patient comfort.

You will assist physicians and healthcare providers, document in the EHR, and help with front desk tasks as needed. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, accurate vitals collection, specimen handling, and cooperation with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification from one of AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA, NHA, NAHP, or NPCE
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience in a Physician's office (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Show patients to exam room, interview patients, measure vital signs and document in Electronic Health Record.
• Accurately assess patient symptoms, reactions, and physical condition and record data in the medical record.
• Take necessary labs, prepare for pick up and record in the patient EHR, communicate with departments on lab protocols.
• Set up exam room and prepare patients for examinations; assist with gynecological exams, minor surgeries, and procedures as per physician preference.
• Assist with front desk operations including reception, medical records, scheduling and billing.
