Job summary

Trinity Health's St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant for the day shift. This role supports ambulatory care providers, conducts basic medical assisting tasks, and helps prepare patients for examinations and procedures.

You will take vitals, perform lab work, document in the EHR, and assist with a range of procedures while also supporting front office functions. Excellent benefits accompany this community-focused position.

Qualifications

• Certification must be from AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA, NHA, NAHP, or NPCE.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred: 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience in a physician's office.

Responsibilities

• Show patients to exam room, interview patients, measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height) and document in Electronic Health Record.
• Accurately assess patient symptoms, reactions, and physical condition and records data in the medical record.
• Take labs, prepare for pick up and record in the patient electronic health record, communicate with the appropriate departments on protocol for all labs and receiving all information they need for procedures.
• Set up exam room and prepare patients for examinations and procedures; assist with gynecological exams, minor surgeries, electrocautery, biopsies, sigmoidoscopies, casting, sterile technique procedures, and specimen preparation.
• Maintain knowledge of front office operations; assist with reception, medical records, scheduling and billing functions.
