Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care in an ambulatory setting. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm in the Family Practice department, Wesley Chapel, FL.

The role requires completing an approved Medical Assistant program and current BLS; certification options (CCMA, CMA, CMAC, NCMA, NRCMA/NRCAMA, RMA) are listed for hire within 6 months. Strong teamwork and patient communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or verifiable applicable work experience in a patient care setting) required
• Maintains current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider Certification and eligible for recognized CMA/CCMA/CMAC/NCMA/NRCMA/NRCAMA/RMA registrations within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents treatments, procedures, and patient education in the EMR.
• Enter medications, labs, and imaging orders under provider direction.
• Maintain compliance with Orlando Health policies and infection control standards.
