Orlando Health, Inc. in Wesley Chapel is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support a Family Practice team. You will perform patient care under physician or APP supervision in an ambulatory setting, gather data, assist exams, and document in the EMR.

The role emphasizes collaboration with staff, adherence to safety and policy, and participation in quality initiatives. Eligible candidates have MA training and current BLS certification, with benefits including tuition reimbursement and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Medical Assistant training program or 1+ year CMA experience in patient care.
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Maintains CMA/CCMA/CMAC/NCMA/NCCT/NRCMA/NRCAMA/RMA or equivalent certification/registration.
• Applicants with other respected MA certifications will be considered case-by-case.

Responsibilities

• Accountable to Nursing leadership for operational issues.
• Participates in quality initiatives and clinical outcome improvements.
• Communicates effectively with patients and families.
• Collaborates with administrative and operations staff.
• Gathers patient data via interviews and observation.
• Assists patients and families with exam preparation.
• Assists physician/APP during examinations and procedures.
• Performs routine treatments and administers approved medications.
• Documents patient data and education in the EMR.
• Schedules specialty testing or consultations as needed.
• Manages calls and medical orders under provider direction.
• Adheres to policies and infection control standards.
• Maintains regular attendance per policy.
