Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support family practice in Wesley Chapel, FL. You will perform patient care under physician/APP supervision, gather data, assist during exams, and document in the EMR per policy.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, in an ambulatory setting. This role requires a high school diploma, CMA certs, and BLS, with opportunities for growth and educational benefits.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or at least one year of verifiable work as CMA).
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Maintains current CMA/CCMA/CMAC/NCMA/NRCMA/NRCAMA/NAHP/AMT/ARMA/AAH certification or registration.

Responsibilities

• Accountable to the Assistant Nurse Manager or Practice Manager for operational issues.
• Participates in quality initiatives and clinical improvement activities.
• Communicates effectively with patients and families.
• Gathers patient data and prepares for examinations.
• Assists physicians/APP during examinations and procedures.
• Documents data and education in the EMR per policies.
• Adheres to Orlando Health policies and infection control standards.
• Maintains regular attendance as per policy.
