JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our Dermatology Clinic located in Chapel Hill, NC. The role involves being an integral part of the healthcare team and providing direct and indirect patient care.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhere to Joint Commission, Environment of Care, and Infection Prevention guidelines reviewed during monthly EOC, TJC, and IPL rounds.
• Room patients following Dawson Hall Dermatology guidelines.
• Clean and sanitize rooms after patient visits.
• Clean and package surgical instruments for sterilization.
• Set up sterile trays for procedures and clean trays for biopsies.
• Check vital signs and report any abnormal findings to the RN per policy.
• Assist patients with mobility to prevent falls.
• Report safety concerns to the RN.
• Restock rooms at the end of the day.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (CAAHEP or ABHES) is strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA required.
• BLS certification required.
