Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care by handling medical and administrative tasks within their scope of practice. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination.
• Certification CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or able to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and chief complaint on the patient flow sheet form.
• Run spirometry tests and EKGs and assist physicians when examining patients.
• Review patient records, ensuring completeness of ordered studies.
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked and equipment functioning; order supplies.
• Call for pre-certifications and facilitate referrals with patient accounts staff.
• Coordinate between secretary and nursing staff to maintain patient flow.
• Perform duties within scope of medical/clinic assistants.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
