Job summary

AdventHealth in Rome, GA is seeking a healthcare assistant/professional to support clinical operations and patient care. The role requires readiness for a full-time schedule, day shifts, and monotored duties across intake, testing, and documentation within our outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has medical terminology knowledge, experience in chronic disease management, strong English communication and computer skills, plus a valid BLS and CMA/CMAC/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA certification or

• Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems

Responsibilities

• Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Maintains education requirements and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and tests.
• Prepares patients and equipment for treatment and documents results in the practice’s system.
• Maintains OSHA compliance and safety processes.
• Provides whole care during office visits, including intake, test results, screenings and medication administration.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
• Assists staff by helping patients, visitors and coworkers as needed.
• Performs clinical intake including screenings, history taking and vital signs.
• Assists with minor procedures and ensures accurate documentation.
• Educates patients on tests, medications and diet.
• Monitors and manages inventory and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned
