Job summary

Mercy Care Atlanta, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to deliver high-quality patient care under supervision of a licensed provider. Responsibilities include basic patient assessments, phlebotomy, EKG support, and community outreach during weekends.

Qualifications include CMA and CPR certification, 6 months to 1 year in health-related field, and knowledge of OSHA/HIPAA/CLIA. Drivers license may be required; day shift position with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• CMA certification and CPR certification required.
• Six months to one year health-related field experience.
• Phlebotomy and basic lab procedures proficiency.
• Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA guidelines.
• Foreign language skills may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient assessments, including vital signs and infection control.
• Assist with patient care for adults, geriatrics, and occasionally infants and adolescents.
• Conduct phlebotomy and basic laboratory procedures.
• Interpret for clients and staff as applicable.
• Monitor and order medical supplies under guidance of Nurse Practitioner or Clinic Manager.
• Assist with EKG procedures and other clinical tasks as directed by the medical provider.
• Participate in health fairs or community events on weekends (3-4 times a year).
