Mercy Care Atlanta, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to deliver high-quality patient care under supervision of a licensed provider. Responsibilities include basic patient assessments, phlebotomy, EKG support, and community outreach during weekends.

Qualifications include CMA and CPR certification, 6 months to 1 year in health-related field, and knowledge of OSHA/HIPAA/CLIA. Drivers license may be required; day shift position with full-time hours.

• Monitor and order medical supplies under guidance of Nurse Practitioner or Clinic Manager.
• Assist with EKG procedures and other clinical tasks as directed by the medical provider.
• Participate in health fairs or community events on weekends (3-4 times a year).

Position Purpose: The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) works closely under the direction of a licensed provider to deliver high-quality patient care. This role is essential for ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical environment, providing basic patient assessment and support, and assisting in administrative duties. The CMA also participates in community outreach initiatives to promote health and wellness.

What You Will Do:

• Perform basic patient assessment procedures, including vital signs and infection control.
• Assist with patient care for adults, geriatric patients, and occasionally infants and adolescents.
• Conduct phlebotomy and basic laboratory procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Foreign language skills may be required.
• Valid GA driver’s license and safe driving record.
