Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA) to support neurosurgical providers at Lake Cumberland Physician Practices. The role combines clinical care with administrative duties to ensure efficient clinic operations and an excellent patient experience.

Applicants should have a graduated medical assisting program, CCMA/CMA/RMA license, and BLS within 60 days. Schedule is 5x8, days (8a-5p), with comprehensive benefits for full-time and part-time staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited medical assisting program or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• CCMA, CMA or RMA license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under supervision.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Document patient care given.
• Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning and troubleshooting.
• Maintain examination areas.
• Perform administrative or clerical duties including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
