Lakes Cumberland Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support Lake Cumberland Physician Practices. This full-time role operates on a 5x8 schedule (8am–5pm) with diverse clinical and clerical duties to ensure efficient clinic operations and excellent patient care.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited medical assisting program with a high school diploma or equivalent; CCMA/CMA/RMA certification and BLS within 60 days are required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under supervision.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Document patient care given.
• Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain examination areas.
• Perform administrative duties including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

The Medical Assistant supports department providers at Lake Cumberland Physician Practices (LCPP) by providing high-quality clinical care and administrative support. This role is essential in ensuring efficient clinic operations, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional patient experience. The Medical Assistant works collaboratively with providers, clinical staff, and administrative teams to support both patient flow and revenue cycle processes.

How you'll contribute

A Medical Assistant (MA) who excels in this role:

• Under the supervision of physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

What we're looking for

Applicants should be a graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent.

Additional requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
• CCMA, CMA or RMA license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 60 days of hire.
