Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join Gastroenterology Associates at Lake Cumberland Physician Practices (LCPP). You will provide high-quality clinical care and administrative support, ensuring smooth clinic operations, patient safety and a positive patient experience.

Applicants should graduate from an accredited MA program, hold CCMA/CMA/RMA credentials, and obtain BLS within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• CCMA, CMA or RMA license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under supervision.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Document patient care provided.
• Maintain equipment and medical supplies; reorder and clean as needed.
• Maintain examination areas.
• Perform administrative duties: filing, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
