Job summary

Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Family Practice team. In this full-time days position, you will support physicians and nurses with patient assessments, basic diagnostics, specimen collection, and documentation of care.

You'll monitor patient conditions, maintain equipment and supplies, and assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling and registration.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of accredited medical assisting program or equivalent required.
• License: CCMA, CMA or RMA.
• Certifications: BLS to be obtained within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under supervision.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Document patient care provided.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; manage examination areas.
• Perform administrative duties including filing, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

How You'll Contribute

• Under the supervision of physicians or nurses, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Shift: M-F 8:00A-5:00P

What We're Looking For

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required; Graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent Required
• License: CCMA, CMA or RMA
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 60 days of hire.
