Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians in a fast-paced clinic. You will help with exams, patient education, and ensure smooth daily operations, under physician supervision.

The role requires completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or equivalent experience, plus current MA certification and BLS. You will triage patients, record vitals, and assist with EKG and phlebotomy when needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of a program.
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification required through one of the listed organizations; willingness to obtain certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physician with the daily operations of the physician’s office.
  • Maintain efficient patient flow and assist with patient care under physician supervision.
  • Perform triage, monitor and record vitals of all visiting patients.
  • Perform EKG and Phlebotomy as applicable.
  • Ensure medical documentation of office visits.
  • Maintain friendly, courteous interactions with patients and staff.

Job Summary

$3000 Sign on bonus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist physician with the daily operations of the physician’s office
  • Maintains efficient patient flow and assists with patient care, i.e. exams, procedures and patient education under the direction and supervision of a physician
  • Performs triage, monitors and records vitals of all visiting patients
  • Perform EKG and Phlebotomy, as applicable
  • Ensures medical documentation of office visits
  • Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner
Qualifications

Education:

Required: High school diploma or GED

Required: Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program

Certification:

Required: Medical Assistant Certification required through one of the following; National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or Healthcare Professional Registry of the US (HPRUS) (Will allow 90 days to obtain certification)

Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience:

Required: Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school OR three years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting in lieu of Medical Assistant diploma

Preferred: At least one year of relevant work experience
