Mercy Care Atlanta is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to work under clinician supervision, delivering high-quality patient care, basic assessments, and administrative support. The role includes phlebotomy, EKG assistance, and involvement in community health events.

Requirements include CMA certification, CPR, and 6–12 months in a health-related field; OSHA/HIPAA/CLIA knowledge, and a valid Georgia driver’s license. Day shift, full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required; graduate of a medical technical school preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and CPR certification required.
  • Six months to one-year experience in a health-related field.
  • Proficiency in phlebotomy and basic lab procedures.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA guidelines.
  • Foreign language skills may be required.
  • Valid GA driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret for clients and staff as applicable.

  • Participate in health fairs or community events on weekends (3-4 times a year).

Description:

Position Purpose: The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) works closely under the direction of a licensed provider to deliver high-quality patient care. This role is essential for ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical environment, providing basic patient assessment and support, and assisting in administrative duties. The CMA also participates in community outreach initiatives to promote health and wellness.
