Cape Fear Valley Health is seeking a Medical Assistant in Fayetteville, NC to support both clinical and administrative needs within the CFV Podiatry, Foot & Ankle Specialists - Fayetteville practice.

The role involves assisting physicians, taking vital signs, updating charts, performing procedures under supervision, and coordinating with care teams to ensure quality patient experiences. A strong emphasis on documentation, communication, and infection control is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program with certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient records and protects patient rights and confidentiality.
• Obtains patient vital signs and assists in patient education under physician supervision.
• Administers and records treatments, medications, and therapies as directed by the provider.
• Chaperones and assists providers during procedures and examinations.
• Performs front desk tasks including greeting patients and scheduling appointments.
• Coordinates with outside partners and processes billing/QA data as needed.
• Completes documentation for each patient visit prior to the provider's start.
• Performs high level disinfection and floats to other clinics as assigned.
