Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for SameDay Medical in Fayetteville, NC. You will support physicians and licensed staff, obtain vitals, update patient charts, and assist with procedures in a busy clinic environment.

You will perform front desk duties as needed, assist with coding and billing, and coordinate care with home health and other partners. A high school diploma and a current BLS certification are required, with formal MA training/certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and licensed medical staff with clinical and administrative tasks.
• Obtain patient vital signs and update charts.
• Process lab, point-of-care samples per policy.
• Administer treatments and medications under supervision.
• Chaperone and assist with procedures and examinations.
• Maintain infection prevention standards and clean environment.
• Coordinate with external partners and document patient care in electronic systems.
