Cape Fear Valley Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and licensed staff in a busy clinic environment. You will collect vital signs, document visits, and assist with procedures under physician supervision.

The role includes front desk support, coding input, and coordination with outside partners to implement patient care plans. BLS certification and MA program completion are required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a recognized certification.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association is required.
• Certifications may include CMA, RMA, CMA(MEDCA), RMA(ARMA), CCMA, NRCMA per CFVH policy.

Responsabilités

• Maintains patient records and confidentiality; documents per visit and by phone.
• Assists with clinical procedures, vital signs, and patient education under supervision.
• Performs waivered testing quality checks and prepares instruments per policy.
• Supports front desk duties: scheduling, coding input, and billing QA.
• Coordinates with home health, hospice, DME, and other partners for care plans.
• Monitors Epic In Basket and responds to messages in a timely manner.
• Performs well visits and nursing visits as directed by the provider.
