Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System is seeking a Nursing Support professional to assist physicians and clinical staff in an outpatient setting. You will take patient vitals, update charts, and support procedures under supervision, while maintaining infection prevention standards and patient confidentiality.

The role includes front desk tasks, scheduling, and coordinating with home health and other partners. Strong English, excellent communication, and MA certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with certification.
• Certified CMA, RMA, CMA(MEDCA), CMA(ARMA), CCMA, NRCMA or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient care and vital signs.
• Update patient charts and document care and testing actions.
• Administer treatments and medications under physician order.
• Chaperone and prepare instruments for sterilization and OT procedures.
• Perform front desk reception and basic ICD/CPT coding as needed.
• Coordinate with outside providers and manage Epic In Basket messages.
