Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to perform delegated clinical and administrative duties consistent with training and experience. The role may operate in both clinical and front-office settings, providing clerical support and assisting in patient care under physician direction.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with CMA training, or CMA-related certifications, plus relevant experience in medical offices or EHR use.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED and CMA training program.
• OR CMA training equivalency: at least 6 months experience in CMA role OR proof of completion of on-the-job CMA training/education.
• Licensure/ Certification: CMA or related credentials from approved agencies (AAMA/AMT/AAH/NCCT/NAHP/NRCMA).
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in medical office or CNA; EHR or phlebotomy; BLS if Rural Health Clinic.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated clinical and administrative duties per CMA training and experience.
• Work in both clinical and front office functions providing clerical support.
• Assist in delivery of health care and patient care activities under physician/provider direction.
• Follow the specific needs of the practice.

Education

High School Diploma or GED + CMA training

6 months CMA experience or on-the-job CMA training

CMA/NCMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NHA/NRCMA certifications
