Job summary

OSF HealthCare seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to perform delegated clinical and administrative duties in a practice setting. The role may operate in both clinical and front office functions, providing clerical support and assisting in patient care under the direction of the physician or provider.

Qualified candidates will have a Medical Assistant training program completion or CMA/AMT/NAHP credentials, plus relevant experience or on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED AND must have completed a Medical Assistant training program.
• OR CMA/AMT/NAHP equivalency with at least 6 months experience in a Certified Medical Assistant role or on-the-job training for CMA.
• Current certification by one of the approved certifying agencies (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NCMA, NAHP, NRCMA).

Responsibilities

• Performs delegated clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training, and experience.
• May work in both clinical and front office functions, providing clerical support and assisting in patient care under physician/provider direction.
