Job summary

Sanitas seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative tasks in a busy healthcare setting. You will take vital signs, assist with exams, prepare rooms, perform venipuncture, vaccines, and CLIA-waived tests under the supervision of a licensed Independent Provider.

The ideal candidate holds CMA/RMA, BLS, and a high school diploma with 1+ year of healthcare experience. Bilingual Spanish is preferred; willingness to work flexible shifts is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• CMA or RMA certification with active status.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and administrative tasks to support clinic operations.
• Take vital signs and record medical histories during patient encounters.
• Prepare exam rooms, assist providers during exams, and organize instruments and supplies.
• Perform venipuncture, administer injections and vaccines under LIP supervision.
• Administer medications per orders and within scope of practice.
• Perform CLIA-waived tests and conduct regular quality control on lab equipment.
• Maintain aseptic technique and proper PPE usage; manage biohazard waste.
• Assist with emergency readiness and basic life support during incidents.
• Support pediatric care with age-appropriate techniques and comfort measures.
• Manage medical records and assist with billing/coding as needed.
