Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and front desk operations at the Paramus location. Under clinician supervision, you will perform patient intake, blood draws, EKGs, and phone-based pharmacy communications, while accurately documenting in the EMR system and ensuring smooth patient flow.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, formal MA training, and state-recognized certification, with preferred experience in a clinic or outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification for Medical Assistant.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program recognized by the State of New Jersey.
• Coursework in office management or database management or business.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, blood draw, EKG and related tests as directed by physician.
• Document accurately in EMR per licensure and policy.
• Greet, register, verify insurance and collect payments at time of service.
• Maintain daily patient scheduling and route calls for appointments, refills, or inquiries.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to meet special needs and ensure patient flow.
