Job summary

Valley Health System in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform patient intake, phlebotomy, EKGs, and related clinical tasks with courteous care, while documenting accurately in the EMR. You will support front desk workflows—patient registration, billing, insurance coordination—and collaborate with practice staff to maintain efficient patient flow and compliant care delivery.

Qualified candidates have a NJ-certified MA credential, high school diploma, and prior clinic experience;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program recognized by the State of New Jersey.
• Current and valid certification as a medical assistant or registered medical assistant recognized by the Board of Examiners such as AMT, AAMA, or NCCT.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, blood draw, EKG and tests as directed by provider.
• Document accurately in the EMR in accordance with policies and licensure.
• Support front desk tasks including patient registration, billing and insurance coordination.
