Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Urology in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and licensed staff in a busy clinic. You will assist with patient vital signs, prepare exam rooms, perform basic procedures, and document care in the medical record.

Responsibilities include coordinating scheduling, coding support for ICD/CPT, and communicating with patients and partner providers. CMA/RMA/CCMA credentials welcomed; BLS required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program with successful completion of a nationally recognized certification exam.
• 1 year of clinical outpatient experience preferred.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and licensed staff with patient care and procedures.
• Take and document patient vital signs, prepare rooms, and administer treatments under supervision.
• Front desk duties: greet patients, schedule appointments, input ICD/CPT coding for billing.
• Coordinate with home health, hospice, and other partners as directed.
• Maintain privacy and infection prevention standards and document care in the chart.
