Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support admin and clinical needs of physicians and licensed staff in an outpatient clinic. You will assist with vital signs, chart updates, patient education, and procedures under supervision, while maintaining a clean, compliant clinical environment.

The position requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with a recognized certification and BLS.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a national certification (CMA/RMA or equivalent).
• 1 year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers and records treatments, dressing changes, medications, and therapies under the provider's direction.
• Chaperones and assists providers during procedures and examinations.
• Maintains accurate patient records and data per policy; completes required documentation.
• Performs front desk reception tasks, including greeting patients and scheduling appointments to support clinic flow.
• Ensures proper handling and disposal of waste and maintains infection prevention standards.
