Ascension Medical Group in Bartlesville, OK is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Cardiology department. The role supports clinical treatments under supervision, conducts patient interviews, records vital signs, and maintains patient charts.

It also handles basic clerical duties and supplies management to ensure smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with Medical Assistant credentials or relevant experience; BLS certification is required

Your future role at a glance

• Location: Bartlesville, OK
• Facility: Ascension Medical Group
• Department: Cardiology
• Schedule: Full-time days, Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• May document the provider's encounter with patients. Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider. Transcribes patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Medical Assistant obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
