Ascension Medical Group in Claremore, OK is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and nurses. You will interview patients, take vital signs, prepare exam rooms, and handle basic clerical tasks.

This full-time position emphasizes accurate charting, documenting encounters, and following physician orders. Certification as CMA/RMA preferred or in progress; CMA/MA registration in good standing is expected.

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• May document the provider's encounter with patients. Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider. Transcribes patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Medical Assistant obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

• Prior CMA experience preferred
• MA Certification and/or Registration in good standing through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA
• Must either be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or in school currently to obtain your CMA/RMA.
