The Medical Assistant, Certified functions as an integral member of the medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients, providing direct patient care and supporting clinical and administrative duties in a healthcare setting.
Excellent customer service skills, ability to lift and transport patients, knowledge of sanitation, sterile techniques, medical terminology, and safety procedures. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant program graduation preferred. Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA or ARMA required, along with BLS certification.
