Job summary

Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is seeking a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant for our Pediatrics division in Lehigh Acres. The CMA/RMA will prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, assist physicians, document in the chart, and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Travel between pediatric offices is required as needed. Candidates must hold CMA/RMA certification or LPN licensure; bilingual English/Spanish and/or Portuguese is desired.

Qualifications

• Must hold CMA or RMA certification/registration from an accredited program.
• LPN certification/license will be considered as well.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Reliable attendance and professional customer service skills.
• Knowledge of phlebotomy, patient intake and common medications.
• At least 1 year of medical assisting experience or related education.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient and physician use.
• Perform patient intake; record vital signs, medical history and medication review.
• Assist physicians in the exam room during physicals and procedures.
• Record patient charts accurately in the management system.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier multi-specialty practice with locations in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Estero and Lehigh Acres. We are currently seeking Certified/Registered Medical Assistant for our Pediatrics division in Lehigh Acres.

Our Certified Medical Assistants:

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient and physician use


• Perform patient intake; vital signs, medical history and medication review


• Assist physicians in the exam room during physicals and procedures


• Record patient chart in management system in a timely and accurate manner


• Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations


• This position will require travel between pediatric offices as needed

To Be Successful – You Need:

• A certification or registration from an accredited program for medical assistants (CMA/RMA)


• LPN certification/license will also be considered


• Great attention to detail and ability to record information accurately


• Solid attendance record


• Excellent and professional customer service skills

• One year of medical assisting experience or combination of medical education and work experience
