Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a 16-hour weekly schedule (First shift, days). A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is available for qualified candidates. The CMA will perform patient care and administrative duties under supervision, with phlebotomy experience preferred.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent and CMA/RMA/CCMA/ EMT-B certification on day one; BLS within 90 days. Hospital benefits, 401k, and other programs are offered.

Overview

The CERTIFIED Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Experience

Less than a year of related experience required
Phlebotomy experience highly preferred

Education

High School Diploma OR equivalency required

Certification

Must have one of the following on the first day of employment:
Certified Medical Assistant
Registered Medical Assistant
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
