Job summary

Icco, Llc. is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support a patient-focused clinic. You will prepare patients, maintain rooms and supplies, and assist with injections and wound care under provider orders.

Excellent communication and teamwork are essential. Minimum education and CMA certification with BLS are required; minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred. This is an on-site clinical role with patient-facing responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Education requirement: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Certification: CMA or equivalent required (RMA/AMCA/NCCT/CMAC). BLS certification required.
  • Experience: At least 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination, record vital signs and history, and provide treatment as applicable.
  • Prepare exam/treatment rooms; set up, sterilize, and maintain supplies and equipment.
  • Administer injections, change dressings, and wound care under providers orders.
  • Collect blood and other specimens, perform routine in-house testing, log results, and call backs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for examination, records vital signs and history, and provides treatment as applicable
  • Prepares exam/treatment rooms; select, setup, sterilize, and maintain medical supplies and equipment for procedures
  • Prepare and administer injections, change dressings, and facilitate wound management under providers orders
  • Collect blood, tissue, and other laboratory specimens through routine in-house testing procedures, and analyze and prepare for testing, log results, and perform lab call-backs
  • Document basic patient care and procedures, utilizing appropriate forms and electronic medical records
  • Schedule patients for tests, initial, and follow-up appointments if applicable in care setting
  • Instructs patients and family regarding treatment and medication instructions
  • Collaborate, take direction, and initiate actions that will allow the assumption of cross-functional team actions to ensure seamless patient care
  • Perform opening/closing clinic duties and patient call backs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent is required.
  • Certificate/License: Current Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following programs is required (RMA, AAMA, NCCT, CMAC, AMCA). Current BLS certification is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience is preferred
Compensation:

Pay is based on experience, skills and falls within an established range.
