Role Description

The Certified Medical Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Ventnor City, NJ. This role supports clinicians by performing routine clinical and administrative tasks, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, and preparing exam rooms and equipment. Daily responsibilities include assisting with minor procedures, administering injections and tests as allowed by certification, updating medical records, and managing patient flow to ensure timely appointments. The Medical Assistant also answers patient inquiries, coordinates scheduling and follow-up appointments, verifies insurance information, and supports front office operations as needed. Collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other staff members is essential to maintain a safe, efficient, and respectful clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical support skills in Medical Assisting, including working directly with clinicians and assisting with exams and procedures.
• Proficiency in Medical Terminology to accurately understand, document, and communicate clinical information.
• Experience in Medical Office operations, such as scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and coordination with front-desk staff.
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, professional Patient Care, including vital signs, patient intake, and basic clinical support.
• Knowledge of Medical Records handling, including accurate documentation, use of electronic health records (EHR), and maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
• Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) credential and current BLS/CPR certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with patients, families, and team members.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow clinical protocols and safety procedures.
• Previous experience in a medical practice or outpatient clinic setting preferred.
