Location: St. Joseph's Surgery Center in Stockton, CA
Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant - Full Time
Job Summary: Provides direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport. Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment. Assists during patient examinations and procedures. Obtains and records patient vital signs, provides nutritional intake, and reports results and observations. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations. Assists with gathering pre-operative patient information, such as labs, EKGs, orders, H&Ps, and clearances from physician offices. Assists with daily filing and organizing of patient charts and paperwork in the pre-assessment area.
Reporting Relationship: Position reports to Clinical Director.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Medical Assistant certification, current CPR certification. Demonstrates necessary clinical competency.
Job Behavior: Reflects USPI’s mission to provide first-class surgical services in a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Demonstrates teamwork, professionalism, reliability, patient orientation, and positive representation of the facility. Maintains professional conduct and appearance.
Hourly Wage: $17 to $23 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
Required Skills: USP-123; Must be certified Medical Assistant.
