Job summary

Ascension in Racine, WI is seeking a full-time clinical assistant to support physicians and nurses in veIn and vascular and med-surg settings. You will interview patients, record histories, measure vitals, and help prepare exam rooms while maintaining supplies and handling clerical tasks.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS within 1 month of hire, and one of several MA credentials or equivalent registrations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of relevant experience is required.
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date; AHA or ARC accepted.
• One of the following MA credentials: AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA; OR Registered Medical Assistant accepted.

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.
• Interview patients to record medical history and accurately measure vital signs for charting.
• Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
• Manage essential clerical tasks, including phone correspondence, record maintenance, and filing.

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  
  
  • One or more of the following:
    
    
    • Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    
    
    • Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    
    
    • Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    
    
    • Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Registered Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Registry of Medical Assistants also accepted.
