Job summary

Ascension in Fishers, IN, is seeking a Full-Time position in the OBGYN department operating Monday–Friday 8am–4:30pm. The role supports providers with patient examinations, prepares treatment rooms, and maintains organized records to ensure efficient clinic flow.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (or 1 year of applicable experience) and licensure/certification options such as BLS and Medical Assistant credentials. Women’s health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider obtained within 30 days of hire date or job transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Medical Assistant obtained within 90 days of hire date or job transfer date (Certified or Registered accepted).
• Professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Support: Assist providers with patient examinations, measure vital signs, and execute ordered treatments and procedures under supervision.
• Clinical & Administrative Flow: Prepare treatment rooms, maintain a clean environment, and manage basic materials ordering and stocking to ensure operational efficiency.
• Accurate Documentation: Interview patients for medical history, accurately chart all information, and transcribe provider orders for lab tests, radiology, and medications.
• Front-Office Management: Handle clerical duties, including answering calls and maintaining organized patient records to support a seamless practice flow.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Medical Assistant obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Certified or Registered both accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
