Matrix Providers is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to assist practitioners with one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams at Columbus, GA.

• Employment Status: Part Time
• Compensation: Hourly, paid bi-weekly
• Schedule: Part Time, Saturdays only, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Requirements: The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) must meet the following:

• Maintain unrestricted and in good standing certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), if required by state.
• Phlebotomy Certification from an accredited training course, if required by state.
• Active/Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License and willingness to drive between locations.
• Minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience (e.g., Primary Care, Family Care, Internal Medicine, Occupational Health, or Urgent Care).
• Willingness to complete CAOCH and Drug Testing Collection Certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Veterans, Service Members, and Federal Employees.
• Experience performing EKGs, PFTs, ABIs, venipuncture, lab processing, etc.
• Current certification in Audio and Drug Testing Collection.

Job Summary:

• Assist providers with patient preparation, minor procedures, and patient education.
• Perform selected patient and lab tests, including EKG, PFT, ABI, and vision testing.
• Under supervision, perform phlebotomy, PFT, ABI, EKG, and vital signs measurement.
• Provide escorting/chaperoning for patients as per policy.
• Support clinical team practices.
• Provide clerical support and backup for administrative staff as needed.
