Job description

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is a clinical staff position responsible for specific patient care duties within Entaa Care, a practice pod of Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians LLC. Location: Glen Burnie, MD.

Shift:

Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shifts: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Weekend Work: Not Required

Education:

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.

Required Work Experience:

Minimum of one (1) year experience in a clinical setting or physician's office. ENT and/or Allergy experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program.

Current certification in basic life support (BLS) required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience with computerized EMR systems highly desirable; computer familiarity required.
  • Ability to perform routine duties with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with staff, physicians, patients, families, and outside agencies.
  • High patience, tolerance, and tact to handle people and time pressures effectively.
  • Professional demeanor, attitude, and appearance.
  • Initiative and assertiveness in problem-solving.

Salary Range:

Minimum $19.50/hr - Maximum $24.00/hr. Compensation depends on experience and role scope.
