Job Description Summary
MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is an entity within the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) that provides healthcare to patients within the rural health network throughout South Carolina.
The Certified Medical Assistant performs multi-skilled activities to support a patient-centered approach to care and assists in examination and treatment of patients under the physician's supervision.

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred with one year of patient care experience.
Certification through AMT, AAMA, NHA, MedCA, NAHP, or equivalent; current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
Must be able to perform job functions including standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working in confined spaces, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., and other physical activities as detailed.
