Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support dermatology visits and procedures. You will room patients, scribe for the dermatologist, and assist with post-op wound care.

Role requires basic medical office experience, CMA/LPN/RN preferred, and comfort with EMR systems. Full-time hours, group health benefits, and opportunities across clinic locations are provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred
• Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems
• Must possess organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team

Monday - Friday Schedule

7:00 AM - 5:00 PM - 8 hr shift schedule Monday - Wednesday

7:00 AM - 5:30 PM - 8 hr shift Thursday and Friday

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and documents all vital information

• Electrodessication and curettage
• I&D
• Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery
• Phototherapy
• Injections
• Koh preps
• Trichograms
• Tzank preps
• Dermabrasion
• Patch testing
• Blue light

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Post High School education in a medical support field:

Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse is strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
