Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. The CMA will support the dermatologist during patient visits, document vitals, scribe for the doctor, and assist with wound care.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, drawing blood, suture removal, and coordinating scheduling while ensuring a friendly, efficient environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office preferred.
  • Must keep current on state certifications, licenses or registrations to continue employment.
  • Willingness to travel to other clinic locations as needed.

  • Providing post-op wound care to patients.

  • Rooming patients and documents all vital information

  • Providing post op wound care to patients
  • Drawing blood and suture removal

Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as:
  • Surgical photographs
  • Biopsies - punch, DIF and shave
  • Excisions
  • Electrodessication and curettage
  • I&D
  • Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery
  • Phototherapy
  • Injections
  • Koh preps
  • Trichograms
  • Tzank preps
  • Dermabrasion
  • Patch testing
  • Blue light
Qualifications
Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Post High School education in a medical support field:

Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse is strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred
  • Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment
  • Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed
  • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems
  • Must possess organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team
