Overview

Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join a reputable hospital in Boston. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Prepare patients for X-rays and other diagnostic tests, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Provide education to patients regarding treatment plans and medication instructions.
  • Support urgent care operations by triaging patients and prioritizing care based on medical needs.
  • Collaborate with internal medicine specialists to coordinate patient care effectively.
  • Uphold strict hygiene and safety standards within the clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Experience with Phlebotomy is required
  • Certified Medical Assistant
  • Proven experience in patient care settings, preferably in urgent care or hospital environments.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in patient assessments.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Familiarity with medication administration protocols and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
