Job summary

Century Park Associates seeks a Certified Medication Technician (QMAP/Med Tech) to administer medications and provide high-quality assisted living care. The role reports to the Resident Care Director and focuses on resident independence, safety, and adherence to care plans.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, current QMAP/Med Tech certification, CPR within 90 days of hire, and preferred experience in senior services.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold current Med Tech or QMAP certification and maintain it during employment.
• One year of senior services experience preferred.
• CPR certification required upon hire or within 90 days of hire and must remain current.

Responsibilities

• Follows all policies and procedures for medication administration, medication ordering, and delivery.
• Immediately reports medication errors or missing medications.
• Provides quality care to residents as outlined in the care plan.
• Promotes resident independence per the service plan.
• Complies with all infection control guidelines.
• Ensures proper transfer of the medication cart between shifts, including narcotic counts.
• Documents medication administration in the EHR per policy.
• Participates in community Lifestyles activities, events and outings, encouraging resident participation.
• Demonstrates patience, compassion and integrity with residents.
