Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a Certified Med Tech for full-time and part-time roles in New Jersey. The position involves administering prescribed medications to residents, maintaining medical records under RN supervision, and providing direct care per care plans.

Responsibilities

• Administer and/or assist with prescribed medication to residents and maintain related medical records under RN supervision.
• Complete required annual medication training per state requirements.
• Provide resident care according to the resident’s care plan to meet care needs.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with federal/state regulations and certification standards.
• Preserve resident comfort, privacy, and dignity during service delivery.
• Participate in all scheduled in-service trainings and adhere to community policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Compensation: up to USD 25 - hourly

Responsibilities and Duties

• Administer and/or assist with self-administration of prescribed medication to resident and maintain related medical records under the supervision of the RN
• Complete required annual medication training, per state requirements
• Provide resident care to ensure care needs are met according to the resident’s care plan
• Maintain medical records and written documentation assuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with federal and state regulations, certification standards, legal and ethical standards.
• Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity in the delivery of services to residents
• Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have a current NJ Medication Aid Certification AND a NJ CNA or HHA Certification
• Minimum of six (6) months experience working with seniors in Assisted Living, Home Health, Hospital, or Long-Term Care environment

Physical Abilities

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
