Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Lifeguard to help oversee state-of-the-art pools, both indoor and outdoor, and to maintain safety on the pool deck. You will monitor activities and assist with aquatics events such as Dive in Movies and Poolapalooza.

This role emphasizes safety-minded customer service; you will greet members, perform rescues, and enforce swimming-area rules while keeping the pool area clean and orderly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, CPR/BLS and First Aid certification required or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year.
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute.
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from bottom of pool and swim brick to surface.
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members.
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid.
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities.
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure safety of the Members.
