Job summary

Grow With Us Learning Academy is seeking a Certified Lead Teacher to nurture and support young learners in a caring, structured classroom environment. The role emphasizes development across all domains, collaborative family communication, and daily routines that promote growth, safety, and positive social interactions.

The position requires hands-on classroom leadership, a solid understanding of child development, and appropriate credentials (ECE degree or equivalent, CPR/First Aid).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a childcare lead teacher.
  • Strong understanding of child development and current early education practices.
  • Creative, patient, and able to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with children of varying ages.
  • CPR/First Aid certification required.
  • Early Childhood Staff Credential or degree in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent certification required for Lead Teacher designation.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement weekly lesson plans that promote creativity, learning, and age-appropriate skill development.
  • Use diverse teaching methods including storytelling, hands-on activities, creative arts, games, and outdoor learning.
  • Evaluate and document children’s developmental progress through observations and daily notes.
  • Maintain consistent communication with families regarding their child’s day, growth, and achievements.
  • Support a structured daily schedule that promotes routine and a positive classroom flow.
  • Encourage positive interactions among children and help guide social-emotional development.
  • Identify behavioral or developmental concerns and take appropriate steps to support each child’s needs.
  • Assist with hygiene routines such as diapering, toileting, and handwashing following health and safety standards.
  • Prepare and serve age-appropriate meals/snacks while following food safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment at all times.
