Job summary

Learning Tree Academy is seeking a dedicated Lead Teacher to provide nurturing care and promote development in infants. You will create a safe, stimulating environment and support milestone growth with developmentally appropriate activities.

The role emphasizes strong communication with families, teamwork with staff, and adherence to health and safety standards while contributing to an enriching early childhood program.

Qualifications

  • Passion for early childhood education and fostering child development.
  • Previous lead teacher experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creativity and resourcefulness for engaging activities.
  • Strong organizational skills for a structured classroom.
  • Patience, empathy, and nurturing relationships with families.
  • First aid/CPR is a plus; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Are you passionate about providing nurturing care and fostering the development of infants during their critical early years? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Teacher to join our warm and loving program. As an Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where Children can thrive and reach important milestones. Responsibilities
  • Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that sparks curiosity and supports children's exploration and discovery.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development.
  • Foster a positive classroom atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to express themselves.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Plan and facilitate stimulating activities, including arts and crafts, music and movement, storytelling, and outdoor play, to promote holistic development.
  • Assess children's progress, document observations, and maintain accurate records to inform individualized instruction and communicate with parents/guardians.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to create a cohesive and enriching educational experience.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on their child's development, milestones, and areas of growth.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents/guardians through open and respectful communication, parent-teacher conferences, and involvement in school events.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations and implementing appropriate procedures.
  • Stay updated on current trends, research, and best practices in early childhood education to continually enhance teaching methods and strategies.
Qualifications
  • Passion for early childhood education and a genuine interest in fostering the development of children.
  • Previous experience as a lead teacher or in a similar role is highly desirable, demonstrating a strong foundation in early childhood education principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and fellow educators.
  • Creativity and resourcefulness in designing and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and lessons.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to ensure a well-structured and engaging classroom environment.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to establish positive and nurturing relationships with children and their families.
  • First aid and CPR certifications a plus, but will provide for on the job training.
