Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES or equivalent
• Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve within 6 months of hire
• Valid AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to medical assistants
• Schedule and assign medical assistants to ensure appropriate staffing
• Train medical assistants and others and serve as a resource to other clinical providers
• Participate in the interview process for medical assistants and other clinical hires
• Train and orient new employees
• Manage clinic flow to ensure timely patient visits and meeting clinic needs
• Provide patient education that is accurate, appropriate, and culturally sensitive
• Oversee coordination of care by assisting providers in follow-up on results
• Perform related duties as required
